As a plant-based restaurant, Delice & Sarrasin is pleased to do their part in reducing the high greenhouse emissions associated with farmed animals, especially cattle. With the latest figures showing that food production now represents 26% of all global greenhouse emissions, they believe this is a critical choice.

Additionally, with their new menu, they are committed to taking more environmentally beneficial steps like sourcing all fresh produce from local growers who practice organic and sustainable farming methods, highlighting seasonal produce and using wild, native, and foraged food.

As such, in time for spring, the plant-based bistro is now highlighting the natural vibrant flavors of springtime ingredients like asparagus, beets, kale, spinach, peas, and zucchini, and in-season fruits like rhubarb and strawberries.

Under head chef Yvette Caron's expert hand, all the new menu items have also been created in the French vegan style the restaurant has become known for. In particular, Caron is proud to share some of her new spring-inspired vegan desserts, including her Lavender Infused Rice Pudding--which she believes will give diners a taste of Provence in New York. Also popular is her bright and citrusy Orange Creme Brulee and her homemade artisan strawberry and lemon sorbets.
