As a facet of NeuroDynamic Institute's platform, the training program will teach students how to practice NeuroDynamic Breathwork, which is a new modality that was developed by founder Michael Stone. This science-based approach differs from other practices in that it's non-directive, where facilitators support the breathing process without interfering with the breather. According to the company, this spurs breathers to look inward and allows them the opportunity for self-empowerment, which is one of the goals of NeuroDynamic Breathwork.
Throughout the course, students will acquire the skills necessary to effectively facilitate this modality. The 350-hour curriculum consists of three live classes a month, video assignments between each module, two practicums, and two special seminars, all of which will teach students about proper workshop setup, how to maintain clear energetic boundaries and stay grounded while leading a workshop, and how to help breathers frame difficult experiences in a way that empowers them. Students will also be given the opportunity to learn about the principles behind NeuroDynamic Institute's music sets, which are scientifically designed to enhance the breathing process.
Because NeuroDynamic Institute believes that self-awareness is key to competent facilitation, they have also included an intensive personal development component in their program. This part of the training is designed to help aspiring instructors take control of their emotions and prevent them from affecting others. By being able to work through their own issues internally, breath coaches will foster more positive experiences during their workshops.
Since its first launch, NeuroDynamic Institute's training program has seen over 150 successful graduates among its international student body. Alumni are encouraged to become independent NeuroDynamic Breathwork facilitators or integrate the modality into existing wellness practices.
"The only training experience I've ever had that was as thorough and thoughtful as Neurodynamic Breathwork facilitator training was graduate school for my doctorate in psychology," said a satisfied program applicant. "The coordinators and trainers really give their all to cover all angles to prepare us to be facilitators."
