New Independent Mortgage Advice Site, Mortgages.co.nz, Launched
One of the most significant hurdles standing in the way of prospective mortgage applicants is lack of information. Many prospective homeowners don’t have access to information to help them make the right mortgage decisions. Mortgages.co.nz is correcting this by offering a platform where consumers can visit for information on mortgage loans and how to plan their application to improve their financial wellbeing.

Auckland, NZ – Announcing the launch of the new independent advice site Marcus Phillips of Mortgages.co.nz noted it offers a single source of mortgage information to readers who wish to learn more about mortgage plans and the mortgage industry.

Mortgages.co.nz is entirely brand agnostic, so educational information, calculators and interest rate tables aren’t slanted towards any specific bank, lender or mortgage broker.

“We’ve furnished mortgages.co.nz with user friendly calculators and educational content that’s up-to-date and unbiased,” says Marcus Phillips of mortgages.co.nz. “We know that most Kiwis do research and calculations online before they contact a lender, so our site is set up as a one-stop-shop for getting your head around the numbers, strategies, loan types and rates.”

As well as handy guides and number-crunching tools, mortgages.co.nz undertakes a monthly Mortgage Brokers Survey in partnership with Tony Alexander, one of New Zealand’s most respected economists.

“Tony is renowned for accurately translating market developments and trends into tips and ideas so anyone can understand them and the mortgages.co.nz and Tony Alexander monthly mortgage article is a reflection of that, often being republished or referred to in leading media outlets such as OneRoof and the New Zealand Herald.”

The number-wrangling tools available on mortgages.co.nz include a budget planner, borrowing power calculator and mortgage repayment calculators. By using all three, a home buyer or property investor can answer a lot of burning questions, like ‘how much could I borrow’, ‘what happens if I make an extra repayment or two on my loan’ and ‘where is all my income going’. Understanding this information is as important as it is insightful, and allows you to be far more prepared, saving time and energy when you engage with your broker or lender.

The mortgage rates page on mortgages.co.nz is particularly helpful showing six interest rates for 15 banks and non-bank lenders. Without switching between websites, you can compare apples with apples acrossmany of New Zealand prominent lenders.
