LACONIA, NH, January 06, 2022 /24-7PressRelease/ — Rogue Space Systems Corporation announced today that Kevin O’Connell, former Director of the Office of Space Commerce at the U.S. Department of Commerce, has joined its advisory board. O’Connell’s expertise and leadership in space policy and commerce will ensure Rogue is at the forefront of space sustainability within the growing space economy.

“I am so honored that Kevin is working with Rogue to help us strengthen our business as we develop our team and community here at Rogue. Kevin is a leader and a guide that embodies Rogue’s core values” said Jeromy Grimmett, CEO and Founder of Rogue Space Systems. “His extensive knowledge of the space economy and US space policy landscape will help guide us as we scale our team and reach into space. Kevin’s experience and know-how contributes directly to our domestic and international ambitions.”

O’Connell served as the Director of the Office of Space Commerce at the US Department of Commerce. Prior to his appointment, he held a number of assignments within the US national security and intelligence communities, including the National Security Council and Office of the Vice President. O’Connell was Founder and CEO of Innovative Analytics & Training, LLC, an advisory firm that helped clients assess opportunities, challenges, and competition in a number of high-tech markets. He is currently the Founder and CEO of Space Economy Rising, LLC, an advisory firm focused on early- and mid- stage space companies and other activities in the space economy.

“Joining the Rogue team as an advisor is a natural extension of my recent experience and passion for helping companies succeed in their markets,” said O’Connell. “We need a robust set of technologies and services for space safety and orbital servicing that will serve the entire space industry. Space safety and sustainability are essential to the innovations and economic growth expected both in and from space. I believe that Rogue will play a leadership role in these areas.

Rogue recently announced MOUs and service agreements with two space asset operators, Orbital Assembly Corporation and OrbitsEdge. This marks the first time a US-based startup company has received payment for in-space services outside of the US Government.
