The ‘Field of Dreams’ movie, still to this day, has such a huge following. Both inside and outside the game of baseball. This one-of-a-kind field will be just a “walk in the corn” away from the movie site field. Families will be able to take a trip down memory lane and create brand new experiences and memories they can now share. Major League Baseball has been working hard and has designed the field to resemble old Comiskey Park, home to the Chicago White Sox from 1910-1990.
NOTE: MLB has plans to allow up to 8,000 fans to attend this game, although, with no clear decision yet, tickets are still unavailable.
BASEBALLISM STORE
While in Dyersville, commuters will be drawn to the new Baseballism Field of Dreams store, located right on site. Which first opened its doors in July of 2020. From truckers and fitted caps to mugs and tees, this Baseballism store has everything you will be looking for, available in various sizes for men, women, and youth. People are welcome to browse the Field of Dreams merchandise line, including Flagman Corn and This Field (pictured at left), as well as many other products that pay homage to America’s Game and the cult classic film together.

BEYOND THE GAME:
Leading up to the scheduled MLB game, Dyersville will be hosting a two-day festival called Beyond the Game. An event that has been actually scheduled for over a year! However, due to Covid, all planned activities were forced to be shut down. Iowa has been ready for this, and the people of Dyersville are more than delighted to embrace it. One great opportunity will be to check out the ‘If You Build It’s exhibit. Here, you will be able to have a close look at storyboards and unique behind-the-scenes footage from the movie.
Open from August 9th – 14th 8:00 am – 6:00 pm Monday through Saturday.
Admission is $5 for adults; kids 12 & under are free.
LET THE KIDS PLAY
Family-friendly Kids Zone will consist of inflatables, face painting, and much more.
The event will be held at West Side Park from August 11, 2021, 12 pm – 7 pm, August 12, 2021, 10 am – 9 pm.
Best part? It is FREE TO ATTEND. Hurry now, though, because this two-day event fills up quickly.
GAMEDAY:
This is the day people of Dyservile, and all of MLB fans everywhere have had marked on their calendars for quite some time now. City Square in Dyersville will host a live broadcast of the MLB game between the Yankees and White Sox being played on Casey’s LED Screen. Broadcasting will begin at 6 pm, with the first pitch soon to follow at 6:20 pm. Remember that although this is a free event, there is no outside food or drink, and you must provide your own seating/blankets, as it will not be provided.
With a vast catalog of events, this is sure to be a fun-filled fan experience. Emotions will be running high, with baseball in the air and pure joy will on the faces of those in attendance. We strive to make our brand something unique to the baseball world as we aim to bring the passion, history, tradition, and class of baseball. Baseballism is beyond grateful for the opportunity to share this experience with the fans and look forward to seeing everyone there. Thank you for believing in baseball.
