Severance CO — G5 Brewpub has opened its doors and all brewing operations in Severance, Colorado. The business, owned and operated by Jeremy and Tammy Gourd, is named after their last name initial and a total of five family members: the couple and their three children. All family members are either currently serving the military or have previously served. The operation is family-friendly, offers breakfast, lunch, dinner, an array of beers, and desserts six days a week. Additionally, G5 offers a kids’ menu, onsite activities such as beer bingo, trivia, corn hole, and other games.
The Gourds aspire to bring a new type of business to the small, but quickly growing, community of Severance, which, until now has not had many eating and drinking locations. As the town expands, the Gourds hope to offer a mainstay where individuals and families will congregate to enjoy craft beers, hearty meals, and a fun environment. The couple’s goals are to use fresh local resources when available and access the many food sourcing options available in the Northern Colorado region.
Severance’s population has continued to boom, with multiple new developments for housing and a robust plan to develop the downtown area. Already, businesses are starting to renovate historic spaces as well as build new, free-standing operations. There are plans for live music, community events, art, shopping, dining, and more as the town plan unfolds. The town is located on the Eastern Plans, northwest of Greeley, Colorado.
G5 offers an assortment of beers and holds a full liquor license allowing them also serve wine, cocktails, hard alcohol, mocktails and non-alcoholic beverages. They have created a handful of their flagship beers including, Side House Red Ale, Jalapeno Peach Wheat, Vanilla Porter, and several more. The food menu features an extensive selection of burgers, homemade fresh soups, salads, pizzas, appetizers, and sweets.
Currently there is a monthly schedule of events, full menu offered for dine in or carry out, happy hour Tuesday – Friday, and merchandise for sale that includes gift cards and branded items.
