NEW YORK, NY, December 03, 2022 /24-7PressRelease/ — A ground-breaking gallery exhibition is being planned for Saturday, December 10th in Long Island City. Hosted by the New York branch of Shincheonji New Heaven New Earth, Church of Jesus, the gallery will include photos and images from the recent graduation of more than 100,000 theology students.
The largest theology school graduation that the world has seen to date took place on November 20th. A total of 106,186 students graduated from the Zion Christian Mission Center after completing a free, year-long theology course covering the entire Bible from Genesis to Revelation.
The in-person graduation of Class 113 – which took place in Daegu Stadium in South Korea – was restricted to 80,000 participants for safety reasons. However, students in countries around the world – including locally in New York and in U.S. cities such as Chicago, Los Angeles and Washington D.C. – took part in the ceremony virtually.
The graduates included a total of 522 pastors who also completed the theology course and signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with Shincheonji New Heaven New Earth Church of Jesus.
At a time when religion and church attendance has been on the decline, Shincheonji New Heaven New Earth Church of Jesus has grown rapidly. The Zion Christian Mission Center graduated a total of 103,764 students in 2019, followed by about 18,000 students both in 2020 and 2021, despite the onset of the Covid-19 pandemic.
Shincheonji Church has also grabbed the world’s attention with its volunteer efforts, including its campaigns to save lives through donating blood. We Are One, a youth volunteer organization made up of members from the church, earned a Guinness World Record in October 2022 for having the most people – a whopping 71,121 participants – signed up to donate blood online within 24 hours.
