Andrew Roby is pleased to be hosting the annual BizBash Event Experience Awards, taking place Feb. 2 in Orlando, Florida. The event will highlight innovation in the events industry. Winners of 78 different categories will be announced, including Best Corporate Event Concept and Best Use of Social Media for an Event or Meeting. This year’s BizBash is also introducing four new categories: Best Hybrid Awards Show/Ceremony, Best Hybrid Association Event, Best Hybrid Environment and Best Hybrid Networking Events.

Roby, who specializes in event planning services in Dallas, Washington D.C., and Los Angeles, said he is pleased to be part of an event that recognizes the best in the event and meetings space, particularly after a difficult year.

“It’s fitting that this award celebrates innovation because this was a year when our industry had to rally with more resourcefulness and creativity than ever to meet the challenges driven by the pandemic,” said Roby. “The new hybrid category awards speak to our industry’s amazing efforts to press forward in spite of the pandemic and accommodate both at-home and in-person crowds.”

BizBash is billed as “North America’s No. 1 source of ideas, news and resources” for both meeting and event professionals. The BizBash Event Experience Awards are in their ninth year of recognizing the best and brightest in the industry.

Roby himself was the recipient of BizBash’s 2021 Top 500 Event Professionals in America, which recognizes “meeting and event trailblazers, trendsetters, and up-and-comers” at the head of the nation’s most influential events, to include trade shows, corporate events, festivals, pop-culture events, and multi-million dollar weddings.

Known for “creating immersive experiences,” Andrew Roby Events is a black-owned event planning company based in Washington D.C. and created by Roby. He also founded the National Events Council, which advocates for equality in the events industry. Andrew Roby Events maintains a “boutique feel” by capping their client numbers to give each client the time and attention they deserve.

Roby was also selected for the “40 Under 40 Award” by Connect Corporate and the “Top Wedding Planner in America” Award by Brides Magazine. He also received Wedding Wire’s “Couple’s Choice Award.” His company has been celebrated on WeddingChicks.com, The Knot, and CBS and FOX news.
