Nevada Cancer Coalition, in association with Battle Born Cornhole, brings you not one, but two cornhole tournaments this Saturday at the Reno/Sparks Convention Center this Saturday, October 16. Doors will open at 9 a.m. for practice up until the tournament starts at 10 a.m.

“By offering two divisions for this charity event, we are inviting all skill level players to come down and take their best shot at the cash prizes that are up for grabs”, said Battle Born Cornhole co-founder David Mosher. “We’re excited to show off our sport and the amazing players we have that either play in our league or are from around our region while also raising money for the Nevada Cancer Coalition.”

Fifty-percent of entry fees will be donated directly to the Nevada Cancer Coalition. There is also a $5 door fee that will go straight to the charity. There will be two tournaments players will be able to choose between.

The Social Division will feature a “Switcholio” format where each player will be paired with another random player for four rounds of round robin. At the completion of round robin, the top forty players will be taken into the double elimination bracket and paired based on how they played. From there the top five teams will bring home cash!

The Advanced Division will feature a “Bring Your Own Partner” format where you get to pick your partner and battle it out with other teams. Each team in this division is guaranteed six games (four round robin into the double elimination bracket) as all teams will make the bracket.

Battle Born Cornhole is an authorized Regional Director for the American Cornhole League. Because of this, ACL Local Points will be available to those participants that have an ACL account and play in the Advanced Division.

In addition to the competitions, there will be raffle prizes and giveaways and the Reno/Sparks Convention Center will have food and beverage available for purchase on site.
