Author of “Tales of a Street Bull” Gearing up For Next Release

RALEIGH, NC / ACCESSWIRE / November 29, 2021 / Earlier this year, Enzo released his first book Tales of a Street Bull, which tells his story as a policeman. Enzo recently retired from the police after serving 26 years in the noble profession, often risking his life in the line of duty. His first book has received critical approval from fans and experts alike, and someone of his experience has a lot more to say than a single volume can contain. He’s already started writing his next book, though it’s far from finished at this stage.

Talking about the new book, Enzo said, “The previous book was very personal in the sense that it mostly dealt with my experiences and perspectives as a policeman. I want my next book to have much of the same theme, but also be less autobiographical. It’s more like a collection of essays about various problems facing society and my informed opinion on these matters as a retired cop who has seen the influence of state politics, modern social patterns, and the problems that afflict police departments in general in the US”.

If Enzo’s previous book is anything to go by, we can expect the same grounded authenticity that made Tales of a Street Bull such a gripping read. He is, without a doubt, a man of extensive experience and the knowledge to wrap his experiences in brilliant insights about pressing issues of the time. For his fans, the announcement of a new book will certainly be received with much excitement, as he continues to make a name for himself with creative authorship and discussing accounts of his life in extremely relatable and outstanding detail.“I believe that book is the perfect medium for passing on experiences and lessons that one has accrued over the years. There is a lot that needs to be said about policing and I feel that there’s a lot more that cops need to do about showcasing the realities of our profession. This is what I’m trying to achieve with my books.”

Working as a cop may be gratifying, rewarding, saddening, lonely, and fulfilling all at the same time. The work pays well, and the perks are usually excellent, but each day can-and most likely will-present a new challenge. Police officers are responsible for preserving order and ensuring the safety of their communities. In television and film, this generally entails following down flawed individuals or breaking a criminal ring. In reality, the title of police officer encompasses a wide range of responsibilities, including behind-the-scenes tasks such as handwriting analysis and officer training.

This blog will cover both sides of the coin and help you learn more about some of the many duties that a police officer generally performs. Officers might be employed by the local, county, state, or federal government. Their jurisdiction and the size of the police department for which they work significantly impact their day-to-day responsibilities. In a major city like New York or Los Angeles, a police officer would typically specialize in one area, such as drugs, media relations, the K-9 unit, or the SWAT squad. In contrast, police officers in smaller departments, particularly in rural regions, would be asked to perform a bigger range of duties. Whatever the city or region is, the primary responsibilities of a police officer remain the same, i.e., to protect people and their belongings.

Primary responsibilities of a police officer

A police officer’s primary responsibility is to safeguard people and their property. Controlling traffic, monitoring neighborhoods, responding to emergency calls, issuing tickets, delivering warrants, arresting offenders, and filing incident reports on time, are some of the daily responsibilities that they have to fulfill. These responsibilities also include public education to assist in preventing and solving crimes. Occasionally, police officers are summoned to testify in court regarding an incident they observed or handled. Depending on the jurisdiction and agency type, a typical day might be somewhat different. A police officer in the inner city, for example, usually spends more time responding to 911 calls and investigating the crimes than a small-town sheriff.

Risks And Hazards

Bureau of Labor Statistics considers police officers’ jobs as one of the riskiest and dangerous jobs globally because of the higher rate of illnesses, frequent injuries, and threatening scenarios, such as interfering in a foiling burglary or a domestic assault. As a result, there is a risk of confrontation and bodily damage when attempting to capture a suspect. These risks are associated with a law enforcement career and cannot be genuinely minimized even when you follow the proper procedure because these risks are inevitable when working for public safety.

The Other Side

While you might think that a cop’s life revolves around fights, hide and seek, and salutes-this is not true. The life of a cop is just as fun as any other profession but with more risks and responsibilities. Here is the ‘other side’ of being a cop that you should know about.

Police Officers Are Humorous

Cop humor is often misinterpreted as arrogant or repulsive, but that doesn’t stop them from joking around during their work hours. They believe they are humorous, even if it’s awkward at times. It becomes a piece of their daily work life that they share in small groups. Many officers believe that comedy serves as a barrier against the harsh realities of societal issues and helps them stay sane during the most challenging times. However, no cop seeks comedic relief during a disaster, as the responsibilities are much bigger and need to be performed vigilantly. When their pranks are overheard in public, police officers are frequently misconstrued, which they don’t generally care about.

Pride in the Community

Working as a cop allows you to give back both on and off the job. It’s a certain kind of dedication to people that reside with the region. Police officers are one of the very few professions that genuinely want to make a difference in their communities. They take pride in their badge and even wear it during off-duty hours. Cops who are passionate about their profession go above and beyond for their community members. Many uniformed men and women volunteer in their communities to make a difference and narrow the societal isolation gap.

Utilizing Unique Tools.

Being a cop means you have access to a diverse set of tools including, the latest equipment, and weapons, that only a few jobs necessitate. The number of technologies accessible to today’s American police officers is staggering. You’ve mastered your tools and technology, and you know how and when to use each of them lawfully for maximum effect. This often makes this profession attractive for people and also classy for police officers all around.
