Amaran Senior Living, the Albuquerque-based assisted living and memory care community recognized September 11, 2001 with a 20th anniversary commemoration in memory of and to honor all those who passed away in the 9/11 attacks.
In the backdrop of beautiful weather at Amaran, the 9/11 remembrance ceremony was observed on Saturday, September 11, 2021 by the Army National Guard, Amaran Senior Living residents and their families, staff and owners, and children from Montessori ONE Academy. The event began by hoisting the flag to the peak and then lowering it at half-mast, with a moment of silence observed at 9:11 AM. Roses were then handed to the Veterans. This was followed by a short speech by one of the Army National Guard soldiers, while everyone stood and saluted the brave heroes of 9/11. After the ceremony, breakfast and coffee were available for everyone on the Amaran Senior Living cybercafé patio.
