Andong, Korea – Agros, a company that develops a variety of harmonious clod brew herbal mixed teas, has begun to expand into the global market to broaden their aspirations.
CEO of Agros Kwon Ki-han majored in medicinal cropping. He wanted to utilize his major to make tea for frequent hangovers, so started to receive advice from an oriental doctor who he knew and opened his first company called Happy House in the middle of the summer of 2017.
He began developing products in earnest, and the following year, he developed a total of five kinds of oriental medicine mixed tea. CEO Kwon emphasized that it is a mixed herbal tea made by Tisommelier himself; it won the grand prize at the 6th Industrial Startup Idea Competition in 2018 with “Tea per Day.” It also won the gold award in the Gyeongbuk Content Branding League in 2019.
He also challenged cloud funding in which consumers directly invest on the condition of purchasing products. Wadiz, which conducted cloud funding, also praised that it is almost impossible to get this much results with tea products. It also won the silver prize at the 2019 Agricultural and Food Crowd Demo-day, which collects and evaluates companies that have achieved funding results with agricultural products at the Agricultural Policy Insurance Finance Institute due to their good funding results.
Happy House has become the current “Agros” by attracting investment from Angelo in 2020. Currently, Agros is developing cold brew tea with various tastes and aroma that simplifies the process of making tea, and preventing the generation of tea bag residue.
Recently, Agros announced a partnership with CompanyA. CompanyA is a global accelerator specializing in Daejeon that discovers preliminary and early start-up companies and supports commercialization at home and abroad through customized support for incubation for start-ups and corporate aspects.
Through the program, Agros has taken steps to expand into the Southeast Asian global markets, discussing the possibility of collaboration with various foreign companies, and thoroughly preparing to bring cold brew tea innovation to Southeast Asia.
