St Petersburg, FL – Abundant Life Ministries, Church of God In Christannounced today that they will be hosting a faith-based Community Block Party to take place on Saturday May 8th, 2021 at 2051 9th Ave S in St Petersburg, FL from 1:00 – 5:00PM, EST. The purpose of the Community Block Party is to spread awareness of recent gun violence and the high rates of HIV that is impacting South St Petersburg. Abundant Life Ministries will be part-nering with Destiny Christian Outreach Ministries, She Wins Totally, Grace & Mercy: The Turn Around Center Inc., Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity, Inc., the Florida Department of Health and Metro Inclusive Health to bring this free event to the community.
The event is free to the public and boasts a DJ, live/local entertainment from Skii Productions, as well as guest speakers to provide valuable information. Guests can also enjoy free giveaways from the aforementioned community partners and may purchase additional refreshments from food trucks: 727 Seafood & Grill and Mz Snow Biz.
In the spirit of Abundant Life’s slogan “In the heart of the city, with a heart for the city,” the church aims to make multigenerational connections to improve the health and well-being of all members of the community.
