“When you are in the winter season of your life the best thing you can do is start a fire,” Louis stated. “Some of us have been fortunate to have been in the Boy Scouts and the Girl Scouts when we were younger. “Now for our purposes we will refer to the tinder which is wood and say it is the Bible. We will call the kindling prayer, and finally we will call the fuel praise and worship. We are encouraged to do this from the Book of Joshua: ‘This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success.”–Joshua 1:8.
“It is really remarkably simple what we need to do to remove all of the plagues that are surrounding us. God said it himself in 2 Chronicles 7:14: ‘If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.”
Louis is also the author of ‘Book of Proverbs, Wisdom vs. Wilderness’, which delves deeply into the timeless human quest for wisdom.
