Union Corrugating Company Celebrates 75 Years of Outstanding Customer Service and Support

FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. – January 8, 2021 – (Newswire.com)

For three-quarters of a century, Union Corrugating Company has served the metal building components market. The company was launched in 1946 when Mr. J. E. Union left West Virginia with his manually operated corrugating machine and settled in Fayetteville, NC. By the early 1950s, J.E. had built a small business that was struggling to survive.

In 1954, Hurricane Hazel tore through eastern North Carolina causing tremendous damage. The day after the storm, pickup trucks lined up outside the gates of Union Corrugating, the only local manufacturer, to purchase metal roofing. J.E.’s foreman said, “What price should we charge today? This is our opportunity to really bring in the extra money to pay our bills.” J.E. responded, “We’ll charge the same price today that we charge every day and not a penny more.” From that day forward, the business flourished as word spread about the company’s reputation for fairness, honesty, and commitment to its customers.

Fast forward to 2021, Union Corrugating Company is proud to celebrate 75 years as an industry leader serving the residential, commercial, and agricultural roofing and siding markets from 10 manufacturing facilities located throughout the central and eastern US. Union Corrugating Company strives to manufacture metal roofing that’s more durable, efficient, and sustainable. They offer metal roofs and buildings that save their customers’ money with minimal environmental impact.

Union Corrugating Company says it is their unique distribution system that has allowed them to grow rapidly from their roots in the southeast by providing the fastest and most reliable deliveries in the industry. Their support network ensures their customers get what they need, when they need it. Most recently, Union Corrugating Company was awarded the Lowe’s 2020 Building Material Supplier of the Year. Union Corrugating Company considers it an honor and testimony to their employees who share those same core values today as their founder did in 1946. Union Corrugating Company would like to thank their customers, partners, suppliers and vendors for their loyalty and support during their 75 years in business.

“As we celebrate this milestone, we are proud of the achievements we’ve made, and we look forward to the next 75 years of accomplishments,” said Keith Medick, President and CEO of Union Corrugating Company Holding, Inc. “We’ve seen a lot of changes over the years, but one thing remains the same, we are focused on delivering quality products, superior service and value for our customers. We appreciate your business and look forward to our continued partnership in 2021 and beyond.”
