A new assessment for road safety and pedestrian risks finds that the City of London area is the most dangerous area in the U.K. for pedestrians, with 28.18 percent of road accidents involving them. Dundee City and Westminster take second and third, respectively.
The study has been undertaken by personal injury firm Claims.co.uk, who analysed the latest data from the U.K. government’s Office For National Statistics on road collision statistics: Department for Transport Statistics – RAS0706: Reported road collisions and casualties by contributory factor and local authority, Great Britain, 10 years up to 2021.
This review was undertaken to see which areas had the highest percentage of collisions involving pedestrians on average each year. The data has been shared with Digital Journal.
