2025 Australian Firefighters Calendar

On being a part of the 2025 Australian Firefighters Calendar, he said, “That felt really good, especially to back a second time. It is always fun going back to Australia; it is just beautiful there.”

“Australia is like Canada on steroids,” he jokingly laughed. “I felt this time I had more time to prepare myself, and I feel that paid off in the end,” he added.

Helping and animals affected by Hurricanes Helene and Milton in Florida

This year, the Australian Firefighters Calendar is supporting American citizens and animals affected by Hurricanes Helene and Milton in Florida. Through their partnership with Greater Good Charities, they are donating funds to provide immediate relief and aid to impacted communities.

“It is nice to see that the donations this year didn’t only help Australian charities, but they helped American charities as well, especially for the victims of hurricanes Milton and Helene in Florida,” Giannopoulos said.

“It was really cool to see them helping those charities. Overall, making this calendar was so much fun,” he admitted.

Giannopoulos on his love for dogs and other animals

Giannopoulos has a love and affinity for animals. “I see dogs as living beings. For me, my dog is my kid,” he said.

“I connect with dogs… they have feelings, emotions, and you get to understand them, and you can see within them what they are there for. Their purpose is just to bring you comfort,” he acknowledged.

Giannopoulos added that this year he enjoyed being photographed with an alpaca.

Giannopoulos revealed his future plans

On his future plans, he remarked, “I am still a firefighter, at the moment. We will see what the future holds. I have a lot of big goals and a lot of big projects that I am working on. I am trying to keep some of these on the down low for now.”

Giannopoulos shared that he would love to do men’s retreats in the future.

Giannopoulos on visiting his homeland Greece

His Greek heritage is traced back to Sparts.

On visiting Greece over the past summer, he exclaimed, “Greece is the best! You can’t beat Greece. It is the most beautiful country in the world. Honestly, I want to go live there; that’s my dream.”

Giannopoulos on his love for cooking, and posting cooking videos

He enjoys showcasing his cooking videos on his social media pages. “I love cooking,” he said.

“I like to share that with people. I cook a lot at the fire station too. Not to brag about them, but my chicken and tzatziki recipes are amazing! They are both so good,” he added.

Stage of his life

On the title of the current chapter of his life, Giannopoulos responded, “Over the last two to four years, I’ve had a lot of inner growth,” he acknowledged. “I am ready to share that knowledge with people. This is why I want to do retreats to help people.”

“I would love to give back to others based on what I’ve learned,” he added.

Success

Regarding his definition of success, Giannopoulos said, “Finding your inner happiness and enjoying your actual human experience. It’s about being present and being mindful.”

“While the material things are fun to have — they may bring you some freedom and some happiness — but real contentment happens within,” he noted.

Closing thoughts on the 2025 Australian Firefighters Calendar

Giannopoulos concluded about the 2025 Australian Firefighters Calendar, “I think it’s going to be the hottest calendar so far. It looks great. They’ve been doing this for so many years, and they’ve been doing it for such good causes. There are good intentions behind this calendar.”
