LOS ANGELES — Britney Spears is letting her fans see her from every imaginable angle.
The teen pop diva is working with Enroute, Inc. to develop an interactive video DVD, containing concert footage created with the company’s FirstPerson immersive video technology.
Viewers can use a controller to look up, down, left, right, zoom in, zoom out, turn around and see everything happening from a 360-degree perspective.
This is Spears’ first foray into interactive entertainment, the Palo Alto, Calif.-based company said in announcing the DVD Thursday.
“We’ve certainly had several opportunities to bring Britney into the world of interactive entertainment and electronic gaming,” Johnny Wright, of Wright Entertainment Group and co-manager of Spears, said in a statement.
“But we chose this opportunity because of Enroute’s immersive video technology, which is giving Britney the chance to lead the way into a new era of home entertainment.”
