It has been serving Westchester County since 1984, and Pelham since 1996. It is a family owned and operated restaurant. Rockwells is the quintessential place to bring the family for a night out, or to host a special event (christening, birthday, graduation, baby shower, gender reveal or other significant occasions). It is also a neat place to watch your favorite sports team (baseball, football or basketball) in action on their huge television screens, either at their dining area or at the bar. At Rockwells, there is something in it for everybody, and something new to try at each visit.
While their entire menu is impressive, two salad meals that stand out include the Chicken Apple Walnut Salad, and the Chicken Caesar Salad with a blackened chicken breast.
The Chicken Apple Walnut Salad is made up of a grilled chicken breast, chopped celery, apples, walnuts, and raisins, coupled with balsamic vinaigrette dressing and served over a bed of mixed greens. “Their Chicken Apple Walnut Salad was so great,” said Barbara Goldsmith, Rockwells patron. “It was very tasty and filling,” she added.
One of this journalist’s personal favorite sandwiches at Rockwells was their Grilled Flat Iron Steak, made up of juicy tenderloin steak, served with a side choice of onion rings, red mashed potatoes, sweet potato fries, baked potatoes, rice, penne marinara or coleslaw.
The Verdict
Overall, Rockwells in Pelham is highly recommended for lunch, dinner, as well as for comedy shows and special events. One will not be disappointed. The wait staff, bartenders, and managers are courteous and personable. It is worth the trip to Pelham, since it is a warm and pleasant environment for the whole family. Rockwells garners an A rating.
