On Friday, February 7th, this journalist had the opportunity to dine at Nusr-Et Steakhouse in Midtown Manhattan for dinner.
It is owned by internationally-recognized social influencer and chef Nusret Gökçe, who is affectionately known as “Salt Bae.”
Aside from the United States, Nusr-Et Steakhouse has locations in Turkey, Greece, the United Kingdom, the United Arab Emirates, Qatar, and Saudi Arabia.
Appetizers
Their “Meat sushi” was quite exquisite and a sight to behold; it was made up of pieces of New York strip steak, avocado cream, crispy potato and Parmesan cheese on sushi rice.

Their “Caesar Salad” consisted of baby romaine lettuce, Parmesan cheese, crunchy garlic croutons, and Caesar dressing. It was a fitting and healthy accompaniment to any meal.
Entrées
Their “Spaghetti” was made up on thinly sliced Wagyu striploin, which was tender, well-marinated and accompanied with salt.

Their “Lokum” is sliced Wagyu tenderloin, which consisted of juicy steak patties.

The highlight dish was their “Woww Wagyu Steak,” which is a thick-cut striploin that was flavorful and and served on a wooden cutting board that is reminiscent of family-style cooking.

The wait staff gave the “Woww Steak” dish the ultimate “Salt Bae” treatment, where they sliced the meat at our table in a swift and precise fashion, and gave it the “Salt Bae” seasoning utilizing Nusret Gökçe’s famous wrist technique. It was indeed a “WOW” meal.
Desserts
At Nusr-Et Steakhouse, one ought to leave some room for dessert.
Their “Authentic Pistachio Baklava” was a force to be reckoned with. This signature pastry consisted of Maraş (Turkish) ice cream, which was scrumptious. Thanks to the ice cream component, it was actually more reminiscent of the Greek pastry “bougatsa” than baklava since it wasn’t too sweet or sticky.

Equally sublime was its “San Sebastian Cheesecake,” which was rich, soft and creamy, comprised of crustless cheesecake with an elegant caramelized top (and a side of chocolate sauce). This sweet delight originated in the Basque region of “San Sebastian” in Northern Spain.

Side Dishes
Healthy side dishes included their “Asparagus with Garlic Butter,” which were topped with micro greens, as well as their “Parmesan Truffle Fries,” which were crispy as they featured white truffle oil and were topped with chives.

In addition, many of its dishes come in a distinct “Golden Experience,” which is remarkable.
