Churrascaria Plataforma is a Brazilian restaurant in New York City’s Restaurant Row.

On Saturday, March 16, this journalist had the chance to dine for brunch at Churrascaria Plataforma.

Salad Bar

As part of their Rodizio lunch, the first course included Salad bar which featured such items as Grana Padano, stuffed grape leaves, Parmesan Cheese, crumbled feta cheese, olives, beets, tomatoes and mozzarellas, pickled onions, and stuffed peppers, which were a blend of Brazilian, Greek, Mediterranean and Italian cuisines.

Churrascaria Plataforma is that it is Manhattan’s first Brazilian steakhouse.

All of their steaks were tender and tasty. These included their “Prime part of Top Sirloin/Picanha,” which was served over a garlic crust or sea salt, as well as their “Top Sirloin/Alcatra,” which was thinly carved, and the “Bottom Sirloin,” which had a rich taste and unique texture.

Fans of chicken and poultry should try their “Chicken/Frango,” which is lightly marinated in a mixture of onion, garlic, beer, salt, and pepper. Another solid option is “Coração de frango,” which is roasted skewered chicken hearts.

Other standout choices are their leg of lamb (“Carneiro”), as well as Pork Loin (“Lombo”) and their Pork Sausage (“Linguiça De Porco “).

Side dishes

Several of their noteworthy side dishes include “Fried Polenta,” “Batata Fritas,” which are better known as French fries, mashed potatoes, white rice (Arroz branco), black beans (Feijao preto), and Fried bananas (Banana a Milanesa).

Desserts at Churrascaria Plataforma

Their desserts were distinct and savory. These included their “Brazilian Style Caramel Flan” drizzled with caramel sauce, their “Chocolate Mousse Cake” with rich chocolate cream, their “Chocolate fudge truffles,” “Coconut Caramel Cake,” as well as their “Espresso Flourless Chocolate Cake,” which would give anyone a much-needed energy boost.

Vegetarian options

While it is mostly known for its meats, vegetarians can also experience such meals as their roaster cauliflower, avocado salad, roasted sweet potato salad, couscous Portobello salad, Tabouli, as well as their grilled asparagus.

Overall, Churrascaria Plataforma has a warm, mellow, and pleasant ambiance. There is a rawness and authenticity to their Brazilian cuisine. The service is swift, and the wait staff are professional and attentive to the patrons’ needs.

With its top-notch dishes, this eatery is the quintessential way to experience the Brazilian cuisine and its versatile multi-cultural flavors in the Big Apple.

There is something new to try at every visit due to its elaborate menu of offerings. Churrascaria Plataforma garners an A rating.
