Restaurant profile: Room 55 in Glendale, New York

Room 55’s seasonal menu consists of the highest quality ingredients, as well as prime meats, fresh duck and produce. Some of the patrons’ favorite dishes include Hanger Steak, as well as Lamb Pasta and Duck Breast. Room 55 has a full-service bar with beer and wine.

As indicated in his restaurant’s website, Chef Vinny Accardi had acquired his love for culinary ever since he worked as a stock boy at a gourmet Italian deli in Maspeth, Queens. While in his senior year in high school, Accardi also took an internship at an upscale restaurant in New York City two nights a week, which helped immerse him into the restaurant world, and the rest is history.

Accardi graduated from the Culinary Institute of America in May of 2000, and he went on to compete on the eighth season of the cooking competition Hell’s Kitchen, where he was able to leave a lasting impression on his fellow chefs and viewers at home. His talent for cooking and ability to make provocative food helped him earn that respect and admiration from fans. His passion for the food he cooks is infectious, and he is proud to his first restaurant in Queens.
