Queen of Catwalk Kate Moss Picks Up Needle and Thread?

Digital Journal — It’s no secret supermodel Kate Moss has been in more headlines than on runways lately. Between the coke-sniffing, the sponsor-dropping and the rehab-attending, Moss is arguably more well-known to the general public today than, say, five years ago.

What better time then, to start a new project? Well, that’s just what she’s decided to do. The stick-figured beauty will be trading in her modelling skills for a seat at the designers table. That’s right, chalk Kate Moss’ name up to the never-ending list of celebrities creating their own design labels.

“I’m going to take everyone on and I’m going to shock everyone,” Moss says. “I know what works, I know what women want, and I know there is money to be made. My name is my brand and it’s going to be the biggest thing in fashion.”

Rumoured names for the upcoming line include ‘Kate’, ‘Mossy’ or ‘Lila Loves’ – paying homage to her three-year-old daughter.

In her career, the catwalk queen has worked with international design legends like Chanel, Roberto Cavalli, Burberry, Versace and Calvin Klein. There are very few who could do the job of a mannequin so well, and Moss was reportedly one of the best-paid supermodels of the ’90s.

A spokeswoman for Moss has confirmed that she is considering releasing her collection after she finishes modelling, but claims she has no plans of retiring from the catwalk for another three or four years.

Also, not much will be happening in Snow White’s fairy tale anytime soon, as no contracts have been signed or launch dates predicted.
