Isaiah Smith is a social influencer, registered nurse, and an online fitness trainer.
He spoke about being a part of the digital age and opened up about his motivations and furnished his advice for young and aspiring social influencers.
Samuel Johnson once said: “Great works are performed not by strength but by perseverance.” This quote applies to Isaiah Smith, RN.
‘Mister California’: Representing California in ‘Mister USA 2024’
In addition, Smith will be competing for “Mister USA 2024,” which will be held in Hollywood on August 11, where he will be representing the state of California. The winner from that competition will represent USA at the “Mister Universe” competition on September 28 at The Biltmore in Los Angeles.
On being a part of this competition, he remarked, “I feel a lot of emotions. At first I didn’t know what to expect, but I really like this opportunity, and I am very grateful. This opportunity humbles me. I feel honored and blessed to represent the great state of California. I love my home state. I am excited for what is to come.”
The digital age
On being a social influencer in the digital age, Smith said, “It feels awesome and a little unreal. I always wanted to be influential but now that it has become more of a reality, it has been awesome. That has always been my mission… to help people. It feels pretty nice.”
Daily motivations
Each day, he is motivated by his family and his loved ones. “It is the adverse times that make us stronger,” he acknowledged.
In his personal life, he is married to his wife Soni, and he is a father to two children (a boy and a girl).
Future plans
On his future plans, Smith said, “Right now, I am doing my online personal training business, and then, I am currently scaling that by hiring more employees and assistant coaches.”
“Basically, I want to do something that I love and help people at the same time and create something that will benefit my family as well,” he said.
Career-defining moment: Adversity makes him stronger
He reiterated that it has been the adverse and “rock bottom” times that molded him into the man that he is today. Unfortunately, he got a DUI once in his life and that isolated many of his friends and made him feel alone; however, he was able to make his “lowest low” into the “best thing” that could ever happen to him. “That was a tough challenge, but it all worked out,” he said.
“Where I am today, I wouldn’t trade it for the world,” he acknowledged.
Ever since, he earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing, and he is a registered nurse. “I love being in a helping profession,” he admitted.
Walking as a form of exercise
Smith shared that he classifies walking as “a form of exercise.” “Depending on who you are, walking is exercise, for sure,” he said.
Advice for young and aspiring social influencers
For young and aspiring social influencers, he said, “Stay true to you; don’t sacrifice what you believe to do what is trending. Be around people that want to support you, and hang onto that.”
Stage of his life
On the title of the current chapter of his life, he said with a sweet laugh, “Messy.” “Honestly, my life is ‘Under Construction’ right now,” he said. “I am still getting to where I want to be. The title of my chapter is TBD…”
Steven Cuoco
Smith had great words about veteran radio personality Steven Cuoco. “Steven is a true professional. On multiple occasions, Cuoco has had my back, and I really value that and I respect him,” he said.
Sports
If he were to do any track and field event, it would be “shot put,” especially since he enjoys root strengths. In swimming, he listed the freestyle as his personal favorite stroke.
Superpower of choice
Smith listed “superstrength” as his superpower of choice, since it would allow him to lift many heavy things. “That would be so cool,” he noted.
Success
Smith defined the word success as his wife and kids being financially stable, all while providing for his immediate family. “Success means being able to take care of my own, and being able to give back to anyone who has made a difference in my life,” he said.
Message for his fans, followers, and supporters
For his fans and followers, Smith concluded, “I am so grateful. I appreciate everyone’s support, especially those that have done it in a positive way. I am eternally thankful.”
