Liza Minnelli’s Fourth Wedding Is Among Stars

NEW YORK CITY (voa) – Singer, dancer, stage and screen actress Liza Minnelli has taken her fourth walk down the aisle in a star-studded wedding in New York City.

The best men for Minnelli’s extravagant wedding at an old church on Fifth Avenue were pop star Michael Jackson and his brother Tito. The matron of honor was actress Elizabeth Taylor.

Forty-eight year-old David Gest, who steered Michael Jackson and his family to fame, is Minnelli’s new husband. The 56-year-old Minnelli credits him with helping her regain her health and resurrect her career.

Other wedding guests included rocker Elton John, actor Anthony Hopkins and property tycoon Donald Trump.

The couple will honeymoon in Thailand.
