Ellingson has her own Wander Beauty make-up line, where she serves as co-founder and creative director. “We launched Wander Beauty earlier this year. Our goal is to simplify woman’s beauty routines, with multi-tasking make-up essentials. We realized there was something missing in the market. Women are busier than ever and they have less time in the morning to get ready, so our products are multi-taskers,” she said. “As co-founder and creative director, I am very involved in the development of the products. These products are totally new and very innovative. We want to come out with things that people haven’t seen before.”
A few weeks ago, Fruit of the Loom invited Ellingson to visit a new concept “FRUT.” The supermodel was not aware that what she was seeing was actually Fruit of the Loom and what she saw shocked her, in the best way possible. “I was invited down to Atlanta a few weeks ago, and I was very pleasantly surprised that it was actually Fruit of the Loom. As I was shopping, I really fell in love with the quality and the variety of styles. Everything was fun and flirty. I was very impressed,” she said.
The brand created a video that captures the moment that Ellingson, and everyday consumers, see that the luxury FRUT Store is actually Fruit of the Loom and find that it’s not the packaging, but that what’s on the inside that really counts.
Another pinch-me moment for Ellingson was being a “Victoria’s Secret” model. “That was incredible. I had such a wonderful partnership with them. It was like family, and I love seeing the show,” she said. “It was like winning the masters, and you have that green jacket forever. You’re an angel forever,” she added.
For Ellingson, the key to longevity in the modeling industry is “staying grounded.” “I owe that to my family, my modeling agency and my husband. They’ve all been supportive and kept me grounded. Also, I feel that luck is a factor,” she said. “It has been quite an evolution for me.”
Her alternate career choice would be a “medical researcher.” “I was really into Science and Math. I loved it,” she said. Ellingson defined the word beauty from a holistic standpoint. “Beauty is taking care of your mind, body and soul. All of that together is beauty,” she concluded.
