Lenny Kravitz Logs 4th Week in Top Ten

BEVERLY HILLS, Calif. – Rocker Lenny Kravitz’s success story continues to add new chapters every week, and this week is no different.

Last week, Kravitz’s newest release, “Greatest Hits,” re-entered the Top
Ten, moving up on the Billboard Top 200 Albums chart from Number 11 to Number
10. This week the hits album climbed another notch to Number 9, making its
way closer and closer to the top. This return marks the second time “Greatest
Hits” entered the Top Ten, and the fourth week it appeared in the chart’s
upper echelons. On November 7, the album entered the Top Ten at an incredible
Number Two, marking the highest album debut of Kravitz’s career. Thus far the
album has sold over 6 million copies worldwide.

The album is being fueled by the track “Again,” the smash hit single which
is climbing through the Top Ten, this week at Number 6 on the Hot 100 Singles
chart. “Again” is Lenny’s first Top Ten since “It Ain’t Over ‘Til It’s Over”
in August 1991, which peaked at Number Two. “Again” seems destined to follow
in “It Ain’t Over”‘s legacy, and has already become the second biggest hit of
Kravitz’ career so far. The track was recently recognized with two Grammy
nominations, to be decided in the upcoming February ceremonies. One of those
two nominations is in the Best Rock Vocal Male Performance category, which
Lenny has won the last two consecutive years.

Finally, fans of Lenny should tune into the January 20 episode of
“Saturday Night Live” on which Kravitz will perform both “Again” and another
one of his hits, “Mr. Cab Driver.”
