IntraMedX Creates E-communities for Health Care

IntraMedX Corporation, a provider of subscription- based e-Solution
platforms and trusted digital environments (TDEs) for the healthcare
community, today announced the launch of its IMX ECIP, an integrated
Web-based tool and platform that enables healthcare organizations,
hospitals, and insurance companies to create, deploy and manage a
comprehensive electronic community for its member physicians and
healthcare professionals. The new tool and platform include customizable
Virtual Internet Service Provider (VISP) and Virtual Application Service
Provider (VASP) capabilities, enabling healthcare entities to create
their own Internet Gateway and Virtual Private Network (VPN).

The IMX ECIP platform is built on IntraMedX’s trusted digital
environment infrastructure called HCSIN. IntraMedX, through its partners
and participating service providers, provides complete secure ISP/ASP
hosting facilities. The platform can be configured with added
functionality including personalized Internet access, private VPN
connectivity, authenticated medical information content, personalized
chats and forums, private Web-based email, self- replicating Web sites
for participating members, e-commerce enabled e-marketplaces, multiple
specialty portals, integrated telephony, ASP- based software
applications, and other customized online services.

IntraMedX plans to market the IMX ECIP commercially and through its
private labeling programs over the next few months. Currently, IntraMedX
is beta testing the IMX ECIP with medical societies, hospitals, and
insurance companies. Last year, IntraMedX formed an alliance with
eMedicine.com to deliver authenticated medical information to consumers
and healthcare professionals. Clients will be able to incorporate
eMedicine’s trusted source of peer-reviewed medical information or
publish their own information for access by their IMX ECIP portal users.

IntraMedX will partner with ISPs and ASPs, technology companies, content
providers, VARs, and consultants to help expand infrastructure, services
and manage sales support requirements.
