Internet “Oscar” Nominations

Technology New Jersey (TNJ) announced the 2nd Annual Internet Excellence
and Internet Innovator Awards for organizations and individuals.

The Internet Excellence Award is designed specifically to recognize the
top 50 companies and organizations that have created and implemented a
leading-edge web site or E-Commerce site that
embodies the best the Internet has to offer: “Any company or
organization, who has demonstrated creativity and technical innovation
in ways that place them above their peers, is eligible for the Internet
Excellence Award,” said Grace Polhemus, President of TNJ.

The Internet Innovator Award will honour the top ten most influential
Internet Commerce leaders in New Jersey whose outstanding
accomplishments and contributions continue to drive the Internet
industry forward. Due to the innovations of many Internet commerce
leaders in technology, academia, and
government, the e-commerce industry in New Jersey is exploding: “This
award is particularly exciting because it recognizes those individuals
who are fueling this Internet explosion right here in our own backyard,”
said Polhemus.

Internet enthusiastics may vote for their favourite web site or Internet
innovator at technologynj.org. The deadline for entries is May 15, 2000.

The winners will be recognized at the TNJ Internet Awards Gala on June
15th at the Sheraton Newark Airport Hotel.

Of course, innovations aside, what internet reveller’s everywhere want
to know is what will the nominees wear?
