HOLLYWOOD, Calif. – The Academy of Motion Pictures, Arts & Sciences might still be making up its mind about the “Best Actress” Award, but the Hollywood Wax Museum has taken the initiative and placed the whole ball of wax on Julia Roberts, awarding her an Oscar for her role as “Erin Brockovich.”
“We decided not to wait any longer and added a replica Oscar to the Julia Roberts figure currently on display,” said Raubi Sundher, Director of the Museum. ‘Erin Brockovich’ was known for her quick response to issues, we figure she deserved our fast action as well.”
The figure will keep its Oscar whether or not the Academy concurs on the decision Sunday. “We’re not going to wax and wane on the subject, our decision is final,” added Sundher.
