NEW YORK – New York City Mayor Rudolph Giuliani says the best way to help the city recover from last week’s terrorist attack is to take a vacation in New York and spend money.
In his weekly radio address, Mr. Giuliani said almost all of the city is open for business. He said residents are still staying home and watching the news, but predicted it would not be long before they resumed their normal lives.
The mayor also said the city has all the volunteers it needs for ongoing recovery efforts. He said if people still want to help, they should come to New York and do their holiday shopping now while the stores are not crowded.
