Direct2Government.com, Inc., a new business-to-business company that
provides food manufacturers a direct outlet to channel “special”
inventories directly into government agencies has been launched.
Nationwide food distributor LA Foods, LLC, principally backs the site.
Direct2Government.com will provide manufacturers the opportunity to sell
excess food inventories at discounted prices directly to government
agencies. Additionally, Direct2Government.com will provide opportunities
for manufacturers to market specially priced “made to order” programs
for this target market.
The site is a membership only site that does not allow access to the
general public. Manufacturers often desire to offer specific food
inventories at reduced prices to certain types of government agencies
(such as prisons or mental health facilities). Special opportunities
will be exclusively offered directly to some or all of these agencies.
