Farmingdale pizzeria Pays It Forward, donates 1,000 pizza slices (Includes interview)

He accomplished this milestone in the New Year at his pizzeria, Frankie’s East Side Gourmet Pizza. “It was a honor, and to help people and families in need is an honor for us to do,” Dan Romano said, graciously.

This philanthropic effort is very dear to Romano’s heart. He noted that when a patron pays two dollars, they will guarantee that a pizza slice will be given to a person in need, whether it is a child, adult, homeless person or anybody who is hungry.

“Our goal is to feed all, but we cannot do it alone,” Romano underscored. “To those who can, thank you. For those who can’t, we completely understand. We are just doing our part in the community to help. Food pantries are overloaded,” he added.

His pizzeria hosts such events as autograph and photo signings with world renowned wrestlers (either independent wrestling sensations of WWE former stars), as well as stand-up comics, acoustic concerts and psychic nights.
