FOXY ACTIVIST / AGE: 39
Digital Journal — Pamela Anderson has huge breasts. There, we said it, now get over it. But Anderson has a lot more going for her than her cup size: She’s a staunch advocate for People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals, she’s raising AIDS awareness and she’s even written a couple of novels.
Whether you agree with Pammy’s politics or not, at least she’s courageous enough to speak her mind. She has even berated her own country for supporting Canada’s annual seal hunt — at the Juno Music Awards, she said, “I don’t mind a little blood on the ice when it’s a hockey rink, but I hate seeing blood on the ice when it’s from baby seals.”

Anderson takes a lot of heat for being outspoken (she was booed after her Junos speech) but she never backs down. While Jessica Simpson declined a personal invite from President Bush to talk about her charity of choice, Anderson demanded to speak with Canadian Prime Minister Stephen Harper about the seal hunt, and received no reply. Later, when asked by a reporter which celebrity needs a makeover most, Anderson replied: “Stephen Harper,” making the attack personal.
She’s tough, determined, outrageous, and fearless — and you thought Canadians were supposed to be tame.

- She was recently inducted into Canada’s Walk of Fame
