Made entirely out of blown glass, Chihuly’s flowers are almost more beautiful and unique than real ones. The luscious-looking, organic-coloured flowers come in shades like deep cobalt blue, canary yellow, dazzling orange and cool teal. With varying textures and lines, Mille Fiori showcases Chihuly’s amazing ability to create beautiful works of art.
Chihuly’s Mille Fiori brings new ideas to glass art, including gravity-defying flowers that twist and hang in stunning poses. Features are eye-catching, designed with human-like movement. The fiori even look as though they are alive, a trait Chihuly’s work often captures.
Initially exhibited at the Tacoma Museum in Washington State and the Marlborough Gallery in New York, Mille Fiori makes its Canadian premiere at the Sandra Ainsley Gallery.
