Keif Kratochvil is a Deputy Sheriff in Nebraska, who is passionate about helping people, fitness, and raising awareness on feeding the hungry. He chatted about his latest endeavors.
Byron Pulsifer once said: “Imagine, dream, and believe in yourself. With determination and belief, you will be surprised at what you accomplish.” This quote applies to Keif Kratochvil.
Representing Nebraska in the 2025 Mister USA competition
This summer, he will be representing the state of Nebraska in the 2025 Mister USA competition.
Mister USA is an American beauty pageant, which is held annually, and the winner goes on to represent the United States in the Mister Universe competition. It is a celebration of culture, diversity, beauty, intelligence and empowerment.
It believes in the power of young leaders to make a difference in the world. It is not solely about outer beauty; it recognizes the inner beauty and intelligence of their contestants.
“It feels great,” he exclaimed. “I am very excited to do it and to meet all of these new people.”
“I am grateful for the opportunity, and I am looking forward to it a lot. It is definitely pushing me to work out harder and be a better person. It’s a win either way,” he acknowledged.
Daily motivations
On his daily motivations, he said, “Honestly, it more about the financial freedom. I love traveling and meeting new people.”
“I love vacations, and one of my biggest dreams is to essentially go on vacation but to also try different gyms in different states and different countries. I would love to try some of their five-star rated gyms,” he elaborated.
In addition, Kratochvil has a passion for fitness and bodybuilding.
Advocacy for feeding the hungry
For Mister USA, he wants to raise awareness on feeding the hungry. “One of my own personal goals, with or without Mister USA, is to start a nonprofit organization, where I can help feed the hungry,” he said.
“I want to start my own nonprofit where it is through Mister USA or not. That is something I’ve always wanted to do, and that’s definitely the most important to me because I enjoy helping the needy,” he explained.
“I love volunteering on holidays,” he said. “My mother and I served meals for Thanksgiving last year, and the year before some company provided meals and we would deliver them to people that couldn’t leave their homes. I just love helping other people.”
Future plans
Regarding his future plans, he revealed, “I have a lot of plans for the future. I love being in law enforcement, I have a passion for it.”
“I would like to stay being a cop, but I would also like to have a side hustle such as social media or a side gig to help fund that financial freedom,” he noted.
“I am content living in Nebraska but I would definitely try to live in another state preferably in the south. Eventually, I would like to get married and have some kids, and raise them on a farm like I was raised,” he elaborated.
Stage of his life
On the title of the current chapter of his life, he revealed, “New Beginnings.”
“I am trying to work five, six or seven days a week, and that’s my choice,” he said. “I want to buy a house this year; that’s one of my goals right now.”
“I am spending a lot of my 20s working, saving money, and buying things that are going to help me achieve that financial success,” he added.
Defining moments
When asked about his career and life defining moments, he responded, “Originally, I had wanted to be in the military, but I had asthma as a kid, so they were pretty skeptical about letting me in.”
“I could join the military now, but I am content being a cop because being a cop is something I’ve always wanted to do because I want to help people,” he acknowledged.
Superpower of choice
If he were to have any superpower, it would be “to fly” or to have “superhuman strength.”
“I feel that flying would be more beneficial than to be super strong,” he said.
A love for country music concerts and Brantley Gilbert
He listed country star Brantley Gilbert as his favorite artist, and he enjoys Morgan Wallen and going to country music concerts.
Success
Regarding his definition of the word success, he said, “Success is not money; it is financial freedom, taking care of the people that I love, and doing what I want to do and what makes me happy.”
Message for his fans and supporters
For his fans and supporters, Kratochvil remarked, “The No. 1 thing is do what you want to do. There is always going to be naysayers no matter what you do, but just do it anyway.”
“Do something because it makes you happy. I hope I can inspire people to pursue their dreams,” he concluded.
