Amy Green, the CEO and founder of The Green Vision Foundation, chatted about being recognized at the upcoming 2025 Angel Ball, which will take place at Cipriani Wall Street in New York on October 27th.

First Lady Eleanor Roosevelt once said: “The future belongs to those who believe in the beauty of their dreams.” This quote applies to Amy Green, who is a conservationist and global ambassador.

The Green Vision Foundation is a philanthropic foundation established by Amy and Gary Green, which is dedicated to environmental conservation and aiding African communities.

The Angel Ball is the signature annual fundraiser for Gabrielle’s Angel Foundation for Cancer Research. It raises awareness and funding for blood cancer research, and this year’s event (on October 27th) will be emceed by Gayle King.

How does it feel to be getting honored this year at the Angel Ball?

It’s incredibly humbling. The Angel Ball has always represented so much heart and hope.

To be recognized among such inspiring people, and to be part of an event that continues Gabrielle’s spirit of generosity and strength, means the world to me.

It’s also a beautiful reminder that when we give back, we all rise together.

Why is this foundation so important to you?

Cancer touches everyone, whether directly or through someone we love. Gabrielle’s Angel Foundation doesn’t just fund research; it fuels possibility and healing.

I’ve met so many families who’ve been impacted by cancer, and their courage inspires me.

What Denise Rich and her family have built is a legacy of compassion and being able to support that mission feels deeply personal.

What motivates you each day as a conservationist and global ambassador?

The belief that we can always do better for our planet and for each other. Whether it’s protecting our oceans, empowering women, or creating safer spaces through innovation, I’m driven by connection.

Nature, community, education are all part of one ecosystem, and seeing people come together to create change keeps me motivated every single day.

What do your plans for the future include?

I’m very excited about the next chapter. I’m launching SpikeStixx across the U.S. with our company CounterSpike USA, a discreet and portable tool designed to detect drink tampering in seconds, that  I founded with my husband Gary.

My vegan faux fur line, which was created for mothers and daughters who believe luxury should never harm animals or our planet will be launched in late December.

Each piece is cruelty-free, sustainable, and made with love — redefining what conscious elegance can be.

I am also expanding The Green Vision Foundation’s programs and developing a new podcast that brings together voices from sports, music, and culture to talk about empowerment and safety.

We will host our annual Footprint of Life gala next year, March 2026. It’s all about creating impact through collaboration and creativity.

Were there any moments in your career that have helped define you?

Absolutely!  I think the first time I saw the direct results of a conservation project, seeing coral reefs come back to life after restoration efforts, was defining. It showed me that change is possible when you stay committed.

My newest role as an entrepreneur with the launch of SpikeStixx has been a defining moment. It has challenged me to think differently about advocacy, and how innovation can protect and empower people in new ways.

What is the one thing you want people to get out of the upcoming Angel Ball event and the foundation?

We all have the power to make a difference. Whether you’re funding research, protecting the planet, or simply looking out for one another, it all matters.

I hope people leave the Angel Ball inspired to act, as when compassion meets action, that’s where real change begins.
