Chats with girlfriends enlighten Daisy and the gals relating to the latest goings-on with men and dating. Never deviating too far from her mission to find true love, she regales us with her lusty tales of sexual exploration and adventure. But, will Daisy ever, ever, EVER find true love?
Biography
Nikki Sitch has firsthand experience in all the crazy of online dating. In lieu of blogging her experiences as she was encouraged to do, Nikki was inspired by those experiences to write this fictional novel describing the twisted world of modern dating.
A Land Negotiator in the Energy Industry by day, Nikki fills her off hours, when not writing, with things she loves to do: spend time with family and friends, swim, bike, rollerblade, read, golf, and walk.
Nikki wrote “Love, Lust & WTF” while living in Okotoks, AB but currently lives in Calgary, AB with her two boys and one dog.

This book is an amazing read and has been quite successful with readers. Every book has a story about its creation, and what’s the story behind ‘Love, Lust & WTF?!! – Daisy’s Dating Adventures’?
The ideas and inspiration came from my experience in the dating world, especially online dating, in my forties. It’s loop-the-loop crazy. I was telling some of my married girlfriends about some of my hilarious and mindboggling experiences and they suggested that I write a blog.
There was no way that I was going to write about myself on the internet! As we chatted the idea came around to writing a fictional book inspired by the strange folks and weird things my single friends and I experienced on dating sites.
You are gifted at creating engaging characters which really pull readers into the story, what is one of your keys to creating such intriguing characters? Did you put any of yourself into Daisy, your protagonist?
People fascinate me in general and one of my favorite hobbies is people-watching. I’ve also been blessed by the opportunity to meet some pretty interesting and crazy people on my journey of this thing called life.
All of those things contributed to the development of some pretty interesting characters in Love, Lust & WTF?!! Yes, Daisy and I have a number of things in common. We are both strong and intelligent women who are professionals in the energy industry; she’s an engineer and I’m a Landman.
We both fall in love deeply, are empathetic, and we both struggled on dating sites with all the yahoos on there, frustrated by the amount of time and energy it takes to weed through the liars, cheaters, and scammers.
While writing ‘Love, Lust & WTF – Daisy’s Dating Adventures’ did you learn anything new about yourself? What was one of your challenges, and conversely one of your successes?
I discovered that writing is a huge passion of mine. Back in University and High School, writing essays was not my favorite thing so the thought of writing a book never occurred to me. I had never thought about writing a book before and less than two years later, I have two published books.
When I start with something, I go for the mountain tops! I found writing to be relatively easy for me, which was great. The ideas just flowed. One of my challenges was my frustration with the editing process; it seemed to take as much effort and time as writing the entire book.
After the second book, I have settled into the fact that this is a very important part of the process and the book isn’t ready to be celebrated until this very important aspect is completed.
A good story is all about the setting, the descriptiveness, and the raw energy that captivates, all coming together to have the reader turning the pages effortlessly. Your book includes all of them, what is one of the keys that you find is critical when getting into the writing zone?
My life is very busy with work, volunteering, and kids so I keep notes of my ideas and write when I have time. It might sound weird but my busy life has contributed to my desire and success in getting into the zone when I have time to write. Kind of an “it’s now or never” thing.
I have raw energy myself and I love laughing at life so all of that contributed to the words popping out from the page and making people laugh and want to keep turning the pages to see what crazy thing happens next.
What can fans both new and seasoned expect from you in 2022? What else do you have in the works?
Book 2 – Daisy’s Adventures in Love was released on June 9, 2022. I am in the midst of writing book 3 but took a break over the summer to enjoy the weather, golf, and my kids.
I’ll be back at writing more about Daisy’s adventures soon and rest assured, I have some pretty neat ideas in my notes, chomping at the bit to take shape in my book.
What’s your favorite way to celebrate after finishing a new book?
I’ve shared the successful release of new books with my friends and family enjoying drinks and munchies at a local pub.
