Digital Journal — Do you miss Friends and The Flintstones as much as I don’t? No need to just watch retro clips on YouTube because iTunes finally added more classic TV shows to its online store.
Along with Friends and The Flintstones, Apple added other Warner Bros. shows such as Babylon 5, The Jetsons and popular sketches from MADtv.
“We’re thrilled to add hit programming from Warner Bros. as we continue to grow our video catalog with the best current and classic television programming,” said Eddy Cue, Apple’s vice president of iTunes.
Each episode will cost $1.99 (US), and can only be viewed on an iPod or computer.
This recent announcement brings the total of iTunes TV offerings to 150 shows, including such hits as 24 and The Daily Show with Jon Stewart. iTunes users can also choose from as many as 3,000 music videos.
Now that some classic cartoons are available for download, shouldn’t iTunes widen its scope to include other old school wonders? I nominate the following shows to finally descend on iTunes: Growing Pains, Family Ties,Thundercats, Degrassi Junior High, In Living Color and Alf.
What would you like to see on iTunes?
