TORONTO, Ont. – Air Alliance, an Air Canada affiliate, today inaugurated
daily non- stop service between Fort Wayne Airport and
Toronto’s Lester B. Pearson International Airport when flight AC1972 left
Fort Wayne at 6:15 a.m. en route to Toronto, Canada.
“We are very pleased to be commencing service from Fort Wayne today.” states
Paul Mulrooney, President, Air Georgian Limited, on hand in Fort Wayne to
celebrate the launch of service. “It is with great pride that we introduce
the Air Canada brand to this market, and to see so many Fort Wayne officials
on hand to celebrate this inaugural with us today.”
To promote the new service, members of United Airline’s Mileage Plus,
Aeroplan and Canadian Plus frequent flyer programs will receive double bonus
miles when traveling on this new route for the first time between May 8 and
August 31, 2000.
Air Alliance flights depart Fort Wayne at 6:15 a.m., 10:30 a.m., 5:43 p.m.
and arrive in Toronto at 8:49 a.m., 1:02 p.m. and 8:15 p.m. every weekday.
Flights depart Toronto enroute to Fort Wayne, at 9:20 a.m., 4:35 p.m., 8:50
p.m. and arrive at 10:10 a.m., 5:25 p.m. and 9:40 p.m.
Air Alliance is the brand name of scheduled service operated by
Toronto-based Air Georgian Limited, offering three non-stop flights every
business day, using state-of-the- art, Beech1900D aircraft, featuring stand
up cabin, reclining leather seats and under-seat storage.
