The most unusual event space has recently opened on the West side of Manhattan, and it’s called The Glasshouses. The 75,000 square foot venue is so large it can hold sit down dinners for up to 2,000 people. In addition, it has features never seen before in a venue like this: Furnished “green” rooms, VIP Suite, outdoor terraces, extremely high ceilings, complete audio visual and sound system built in, coat check for 2,000 people and much more.

The creator of this one-of-a-kind space is Jack Guttman who developed the Chelsea Arts Tower and has operated Glasshouse Chelsea for 15 years. Along with his partner Alex Holiday, the two have created the most talked about space in years.

“Never before did anyone actually create an event space from scratch so we had the opportunity to add what we felt was missing in the market.” Jack Guttman said.  “We have the most amazing kitchen, most luxurious, furnished green rooms, fabulous views of the Hudson River and the New York Skyline, and our clients are raving about their ability to create something new and different”

For 15 years Guttman has been searching for a perfect venue for these types of events. But it did not exist. So, he built his own space. Located at 48th and the West Side Highway, above FedEx and Toyota and Lexus, he occupies the top 3 floors of the building.

Alex Holiday, partner, added “Our venue is perfect for both social and corporate large and small functions, like weddings, bar mitzvas, trade shows, corporate meetings, small conventions, car shows, concerts, nonprofit galas, product demonstrations, political dinners, and sports competitions.” “Our attention to every detail is evident in our marble finishes, lighting, sound system and dedicated lobby.” Added Holiday.

Corporate America has found The Glasshouse now they are hosting stockholder meetings, corporate retreats. training events, partner’s dinners, and product demonstrations.

“We have held luxurious weddings from 150 to 700 people as well as fund raising galas for 1600 people. Rihanna and Amazon launched her Fenty brand at one of the opening parties.” Added Guttman

The project has taken 5 years to complete and the excitement from the wedding and event planners is evident in their bookings which are extending into 2023.
