The second part of the live-action adaptation of Parasyte, titled Parasyte: The Final Chapter, will hit theaters across Japan on April 25th and the first trailer for the movie has been streamed.
It is adapted from Hitoshi Iwaaki’s original manga of the same name.
Parasyte: The Final Chapter focuses on Shinichi Izumi and Migi as they must fight Goto, the “perfect creation” by Reiko Tamura, who is also featured in the film. This movie’s story is similar to the second half of the anime series that streams in North America on Crunchyroll.
If you have watched the previous episodes of Parasyte: The Maxim, you will easily understand the story behind Parasyte: The Final Chapter.
Shinichi and Migi were doing fine fighting the Parasites, but Reiko has effectively gathered most of the Parasites in one secret cabal. The organized Parasites have become more dangerous because of their infiltration of modern society, which makes it harder for Shinichi and Migi to do their job and protect the human race.
The stakes have increased when the Parasites infiltrate the country’s political system.
Goto, who controls five Parasites, will be Shinichi’s deadliest adversary let alone in Parasyte: The Final Chapter.
Parasyte, which ran from 1990 until 1995 in Kodansha, takes place in the modern world where these mysterious Parasites arrive on Earth and start taking over their human hosts. Migi fails to take over Shinichi’s body and ends up taking control of his right hand.
Shinichi and Migi learn how to work together in order to survive as their relationship has its bumps and bruises.
