Video: ‘MSG — The Origin I’ 1st seven minutes

Fans of the original Mobile Suit Gundam series, set during in the Universal Century, are looking forward to the anime adaptation of the prequel story known as Mobile Suit Gundam: The Origin.

It will be released in four parts to complete a four-part OVA that tells the story of the surviving members of the Deikum Royal Family, Casval Rem Deikum and Artesia Som Deikum, respectively the young versions of Char Aznable and Sayla Mass.

The first part of the OVA is titled Mobile Suit Gundam The Origin I: Blue-Eyed Casval, which will stream on February 28th via the Daisuki streaming service. It will be available in Japanese and English language dub.

It will be available in Traditional Chinese, Simplified Chinese, English, Korean, and French subtitles.

A collector’s edition will be available on April 24th for $95.

The official GundamInfo YouTube channel, which streams Gundam Build Fighters & Gundam Build Fighters Try for free, posted the first seven minutes of Mobile Suit Gundam The Origin: Blue-Eyed Casval.

Mobile Suit Gundam The Origin I: Blue-Eyed Casval takes place before the One Year War.

The assassination of Casval and Artesia’s father, Zeon Zum Deikum, is the trigger that sets the war between the Zeon Empire and the Earth Federation.

Char is the recurring archenemy and personal rival to Mobile Suit Gundam hero Amuro Ray.

Sayla ends up becoming the mother to Amuro’s child.

The Zabi Family’s role in Mobile Suit Gundam The Origin sets up Minerva Zabi’s personal storyline in the Mobile Suit Gundam: UC Unicorn OVA.

Char and Amuro settle the score in Mobile Suit Gundam: Char’s Counterattack, which is set in UC 0093.
