Video: ‘Killer Instinct’ Hisako trailer

Mortal Kombat X, you have a rival in Killer Instinct.

NetherRealm Studios and WB Games, respectively developer and publisher, will release Mortal Kombat X on current-generation consoles (Playstation 4 and Xbox One) on April 14th. It is a highly anticipated title, which is set 25 years after Mortal Kombat 9.

Liu Kang is confirmed to return and Erron Black is finally confirmed as a newcomer.

The attention is obviously on Mortal Kombat X, but let’s not forget Killer Instinct: Season 2 because its roster isn’t fully released yet.

Mortal Kombat X has Erron Black and Killer Instinct: Season 2 has Hisako, where the latter is available for Ultra Edition owers. If you have the Combo Breaker edition of Killer Instinct: Season 2, then Hisako will be available on April 2nd.

She was revealed at the end of Aganos’ trailer as being the newest edition.

Microsoft and Iron Galaxy have released the trailer for Hisako, which shows her in action against notable fighters in the game. Hisako is a force to be reckoned with as her appearance and her special attacks look inspired by Sadako from The Ring.

Hisako, like Kan-Ra and Spinal, is an undead fighter.

Unlike Kan-Ra and Spinal, Hisako is a vengeful spirit.

Her backstory is tragic, Hisako was killed during the Sengoku Era trying to protect her family. Hisako’s body was buried in a special shrine by her father, but it was disturbed and desecrated by grave-robbers.

Hisako enters the tournament to exact revenge on the people responsible for robbing her grave and the graves of everybody else. This trailer warns players not to underestimate Hisako just because she is a vengeful spirit.

She definitely fights with a vengeance.

Her fighting style is unique and original, but is slightly reminiscent of Zappa from Guilty Gear X2.

Hisako’s trailer ends by revealing that Cinder, a Killer Instinct veteran, will be the next character added to the roster. Cinder is a convicted prisoner, who underwent an experimental that turned him into living fire.

He is the antithesis to Cinder.
