Video: ‘Avengers — Age of Ultron’ 2nd trailer

Marvel Entertainment recently streamed the second official trailer for the upcoming Avengers sequel, which is scheduled to screen on May 1st. This is the second to last film of Marvel Studios’ “Phase 2” of planned movie releases.

The film is Avengers: Age of Ultron, which is the main sequel to the 2012 film Avengers.

It will be followed by the release of Ant-Man, which opens on July 17th. That movie stars Paul Rudd as protagonist Scott Lang, who is tapped by Dr. Henry Pym to become the titular Ant-Man. Corey Stoll portrays antagonist Darren Cross, who becomes Yellowjacket.

You will have to wait to see how Avengers: Age of Ultron and Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D will connect to Ant-Man in July.

If you were watching the NCAA College Football Playoff Championship Game on ESPN, you already got the taste of the trailer. Everybody else who didn’t watch the game can watch the new trailer on YouTube.

This trailer, compared to the last trailer, is packed with action and fighting.

The Avengers have to deal with Ultron, who is one of the major villains in the Marvel Comics universe and a constant bane to the heroes. Ultron has been present as an antagonist in some of Marvel Comics’ animated works like Next Avengers: Heroes of Tomorrow and Avenger’s: Earth’s Mightiest Heroes.

Ultron, portrayed by James Spader, makes things very difficult for the Avengers. If he didn’t, then he wouldn’t be Ultron in the first place.

Humanity’s only hope lies in the Avengers and their allies. They are supported by Nick Fury, Maria Hill, and War Machine. Quicksilver and Scarlet Witch, respectively played by Aaron Taylor-Johnson and Elizabeth Olson, join the fray and assist the Avengers.

Quicksilver and Scarlet Witch are not mutants in the movie because of 20th Century Fox, who has the film rights to the X-Men comic franchise. Marvel Studios and 20th Century Fox currently share the film rights to the twin children of Magneto.

Vision appears in the movie, too. If you follow the comics, Vision becomes a valued member of the Avengers.

Look forward to watching Iron Man use his Hulkbuster Armor to fight the Incredible Hulk this May.

The film’s story reveals Iron Man being responsible for jump-starting Ultron. In the comics, Pym is responsible for Ultron’s creation, which leaves the possibility for a direct connection with Ant-Man.

On a funny note, there is a Dorkly video about the first Avengers movie and Vision wants in.

In related news, Daredevil debuts April 10th on Netflix for 13 episodes.

This is part of Marvel’s planned Netflix Original series that will lead up to The Defenders.
