Video: ‘Ant-Man’ 2nd domestic trailer

2015 is a good year for comics because of the movie and TV adaptations.

Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D is getting serious with the Inhumans story angle, Marvel’s Daredevil is currently available on Netflix, and Avengers: Age of Ultron hits theaters in May. Keep in mind that Avengers: Age of Ultron does not end Phase 2 of Marvel Entertainment’s planned films, Ant-Man does.

This new trailer centers on Yellowjacket, played by Corey Stoll, the film’s antagonist.

There is still plenty of focus on Scott Lang, the titular Ant-Man, played by comedic actor Paul Rudd.

You can obviously see that this trailer has plenty of action and humor. It is apparent that Thomas The Train is no match for Yellowjacket at the end.

Marvel Comics fans can look forward to checking out Ant-Man on July 17th.

In the meantime, you can check out Scott Lang in the new Ant-Man comic book series. He retakes the mantle of Ant-Man from Eric O’Grady, the third Ant-Man, and relocates to Miami to set up Ant-Man Securities.

He is assisted by former villains Griz and Machinesmith.

Scott’s daughter, Cassandra, is currently taken hostage and to be used for Darren Cross’ resurrection.

You can obviously see that Ant-Man will be Scott Lang’s origin story. Michael Douglas portrays Henry “Hank” Pym, the first Ant-Man in the comics and the creator of the Pym Particles. Marvel Comics fans should already know about the power that the Pym Particles possess.

Pym fears that they will be used for evil and enlists Scott Lang to break into Pym Industries to steal a suit, the titular Ant-Man suit.

In the Ant-Man movie, Darren Cross is Yellowjacket’s alter ego.

In the comics, Yellowjacket is the current identity taken by Henry Pym. It is important to know that comic version of Yellowjacket is a hero, which contrasts from the movie version.

In related news, the newest episode of Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D airs tonight.

The episode specifically focuses on Melinda May, portrayed by Ming-Na Wen. Fans will get to see why Agent May is called the “Cavalry.” On a side note, Skye is reunited with her thought-dead mother.
