Trent Harmon wins American Idol season 15, during farewell season

R&B and soul songstress La’Porsha Renae was the runner-up winner. Both finalists received Ford cards and record deals. On April 7, the winners were announced in an all-star farewell finale, which included alums from all the previous seasons of Idol.

Harmon is originally from Amory, Mississippi. His coronation song is “Falling” and it is making its way up the charts. It was co-penned by country superstar Keith Urban (and ironically enough, American Idol judge), as well as songwriters Dallas Davidson and Brett James. His vocals are reminiscent of Sam Smith meets Charlie Puth.

A month prior, Harmon and Renae sang a sultry duet of Wiz Khalifa and Charlie Puth’s “See You Again,” which was well-received by all.

His new single “Falling” is available on iTunes by clicking here.
