Rising country singer-songwriter Timmy McKeever released his new country single “Back to the Bottle” on Friday, October 10th via Big Loud Records and Droptine Music.

It is a mid-tempo heartbreak country tune, and it is raw, poignant and relatable, especially for anyone who has been through a failing romance. It has a catchy beat and melody to it, which makes it extremely radio-friendly.

The single was co-penned by McKeever, Rob Ragosta, and Jamie Collazo. Thanks to McKeever’s rich, rumbling vocals, the listener can recall Eric Church meets Morgan Wallen, and that ought to be taken as a compliment.

Regarding this new single, McKeever remarked, “This song came from a pretty real place… It’s about both people in a breakup going back to the things, or people, that once hurt them, just to cope.”

“It’s brutally honest, and I think a lot of folks have been there,” McKeever acknowledged.

The Verdict

Overall, Timmy McKeever gets better with each and every release. He is not afraid to be raw and vulnerable (especially as he unleashes his pain and hurt), and that will resonate well with his listening audience.

The future of contemporary country music is in good hands… Timmy McKeever’s hands. “Back to the Bottle” garners 4.5 out of 5 stars. Well done.
