Canadian actor Tim Rozon (“Schitt’s Creek” fame) chatted about the film “Love In Wolf Creek,” which premieres on Sunday, October 16 on UPtv.

Walt Disney once said: “All our dreams can come true, if we have the courage to pursue them.” Actor Tim Rozon is living proof of this wise quotation by the cartoon icon.

‘Love In Wolf Creek’

In “Love In Wolf Creek,” Sam sets out to save a pack of wild wolves and a conservation refuge with the help of the town’s handsome newcomer. Saving animals is their passion… but when a poacher threatens their world, they’ll risk everything to save each other.

“Doing this fun was super fun,” he admitted. “It was actually like a real full-on action film. I think people are going to like it because it’s unlike any typical romantic comedy on TV. It’s actually a super action-packed movie that was very fun to do.”

Rozon stars as Austin Spencer opposite Nola Martin as Samantha Gavin. “It has been two years since I last played a cowboy,” he said. “I played a cowboy for five years on a show called ‘Wynonna Earp,’ and once you play a cowboy, you’re a cowboy for life. There is something empowering about putting on a cowboy hat. I’m comfortable with horses and animals. It was like putting an old shoe back on, it was really nice.”

“Nola was fantastic to work with,” he exclaimed. “The script and the story were good, and Nola was great. I was very lucky and happy about that. It was really fun to work with her.”

For his fans, he remarked about “Love In Wolf Creek,” “I think they are going to have a lot of fun with it, so I am excited. It was so fun to do, and it was awesome.”

On being an actor in the digital age, Rozon said, “There is a lot of content, which is great. I am also nervous that people don’t give some shows a chance. There is a lot going on. Last year, was probably my busiest year ever, which was incredible.”

For young and aspiring actors, he said, “Just never give up and get into it for the right reasons. If you want to be an actor, then make it about the acting. My favorite moments are still about the acting and when they say ‘action’ and ‘cut.’ When I don’t like that anymore, I won’t do it anymore.”

‘Schitt’s Creek’

Rozon had great words about playing Mutt Schitt on “Schitt’s Creek.” “I love Schitt’s Creek. Annie Murphy and I are still very close, she is amazing. I love that entire cast. They were incredible. How lucky am I? Sometimes, I would just watch those actors do a read-through and I felt so lucky to be at that table. Catherine O’Hara is just incredible, she is a wonderful woman” he said.

On the title of the current chapter of his life, he said, “#Dadlife.” “I have a 2.5-year-old going on 15, and I have been busy with work. I am just trying to balance everything,” he said.

If he were to have any superpower, he would be Galactus with the Power Cosmic. “Give me the surfboard, I would fly through space, and I would help people in need. He’s my favorite one,” he said.

Favorites

He listed “Predator,” starring Arnold Schwarzenegger, and “Indiana Jones” as some of his favorite movies. “‘Predator’ is amazing,” he said, prior to noting that he enjoyed the new “Top Gun: Maverick.” “That was actually the first movie that I went back to the theater to see. I just walked out of there blown away, I felt amazing. ‘Top Gun: Maverick’ was more than a movie, it was wild,” he said.

Rozon enjoys binge-watching “Lucifer” and the classics “Cheers” and “Seinfeld.” “Jason Alexander, who played George Costanza, is hilarious,” he said. “Julia Louis-Dreyfus is also great as Elaine Benes.”

He listed “Cap’n Crunch” cereal as his favorite cheat meal. His favorite motto to live by is “By failing to prepare, you are preparing to fail.”

Success

On his definition of the word success, Rozon said, “Success is about finding peace of mind.”
