They just performed at The Paramount in Huntington, where they opened for country star Kip Moore. On playing The Paramount on Long Island, Burns said, “We had so much fun tonight. It was awesome. It’s our first proper show on Long Island. This venue is eclectic and different than the regular venues that we play. The Paramount was so great.”
He shared that his band, The Wild Feathers, would love to someday work with The Heartbreakers, as well as Rock and Roll Hall of Famer Neil Young, as their dream collaborations. “That would be a complete dream,” he said.
Their plans for the future are to keep touring and to keep making Wild Feathers music. “We try to play as many people as we can. We want to spread positivity and unite people with music,” he said.
Digital transformation of the music business
On the impact of technology on the music business, Burns said, “Obviously, people are buying fewer records, but everybody’s music is much more accessible, and in that regard, technology is great. We support it.”
Regarding his use of technology in his daily routine as a musician, Burns said, “I listen to iTunes and Spotify just to get out of my wheelhouse. It helps me reset my creative juices.”
